![]() Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY this week. Often there are more cars that deserve to be in the DEAL of the DAY than we can schedule for our front page feature. This is a display that just keeps making its own history as it goes. Heaton Hot Rods is offering a package deal to include the 1969 Triumph TT racer bike and a 1929 Custom Roadster which will be carried behind the ’51 Ford in a special salf flats type trailer rig. This custom F-3 Ford truck has a built Pro-Formance 420 horsepower 351W with forged flat top pistons, 1/2 inch lift in the cam, polished crank, Eagle I-beam connecting rods and Dart aluminum heads. The body was channeled over the custom frame with a Roadster Shop independent front suspension with power rack and pinion steering and a Roadster Shop rear 4-link set up with 9 inch rear axle assembly and coil overs on the front and Air Ride in the rear. The inside of the bed was designed to carry a 1969 Triumph TT special race motorcycle. The bed of the truck is a complete custom masterpiece with countless fabrications. There are also several body mods including custom door handles and drip rails, and it has a custom Ram Air intake made with an electric actuator that lifts the cowl vent to force air into a custom-made air cleaner. They tell us the truck is completely custom from front to back and top to bottom. This incredible custom is being offered for sale this week at Heatons Hot Rods in Joliet, Illinois. This unique one-of-a-kind vehicle was later acquired by a street rodder who had a vision of making it the ultimate salt flats race car hauler. Their commission was to make it a “three-door” truck. The 1951 Ford F-3 Truck which you see here was sent by Ford to Grant Body and Equipment Company in 1951. ![]() Fun facts!
